Dear Bilty,
I work in a place where I have to wear a uniform. What can I do to stand out? Please help. No one notices me.
Thanks,
Betty Blah-Boring

Dear BBB,
Thanks for your letter. I know what you’re going through. I work in a place where my colleagues and I have to wear a green get-up everyday. It makes it hard to stand out.
One thing that I’ve discovered is that you have to work with what you have. Sure, you can’t change the color of your outfit, but you can get creative with the materials its made of and ACCESSORIZE!
As for me, I start with my luscious, long pine needled suit, which is the envy of all my green-clad colleagues. Then, I add to the look by putting on my pine cones and berry sprigs. And, I spend a little more time working on the edges of my coat to give it a soft cashmere look. It only takes a little, but it really goes a long way.
I’ve discovered that when customers come by our office now, I certainly get a lot more attention than those ladies who don’t wear berries or pine cones; it’s even gotten me on some choice assignments that probably would have otherwise gone to Carleton who seems to think that he’s the best.
If you want, I can come by your house to show you how a little flair can really make a huge difference.
With pizzazz,
Bilty
Treetopia™ Goes Green
Here at the North Pole, we care a lot about being green. Sometimes, our customers ask why they should buy a traditional green tree from such a funky and colorful retailer. Well, the truth is that here in our workshop we have always made fabulous green trees. We continue to put the same love and care that goes into each of our colorful and funky trees into our traditional ones too. It’s just that we’ve become a little famous (OK, well, a lot famous!) for our more funky offerings.
Think of us like Ben & Jerry’s – we're best known for our funky flavors, but our plain ol’ vanilla and chocolate are still the best around!
