It’s a beautiful thing to witness a miracle.
There I was, just minding my own business, standing tall and shining bright in that department store on 34th Avenue, when he walked in. He wasn’t the fat, cranky guy that was clearly here just to make a buck and pass the time. This cheerful guy seemed to be what Christmas is all about.
He knew what the kids wanted, even before they asked. As for me, I had been secreting eyeing the shiny wagon ornament across the aisle ever since I took my post in the winter wonderland display. The second day Kris was on the job, I woke up to find myself covered in the shiny wagon ornaments. I was so elated; I nearly tipped myself over from excitement.
His spirit has really rubbed off on me. I used to think that standing around all day with branches held out was mundane, even dreadful, especially when no one was looking. But now, I see that I have one of the best jobs ever. I get to spread kindness and joy and love and all the other intangibles. I get to help people see that Christmas isn’t just a day, it’s a frame of mind. Helping me change my perspective is a miracle in and of itself.
The amazing thing about holiday miracles is that you don’t need to live on 34th Street to experience them. It happens on 3rd Avenue, Main Street, or RR 17. That’s the magic of Christmas—Santa (or Kris) can show up everywhere, all at once. Still not sure? Invite me over and I’ll bring over some holiday spirit and perhaps even a little holiday magic.
A Little Bit More About Me
Besides believing in miracles, what makes me so special? It's my two types of PVC branches that make me stand out from my peers. I have a mix of wider needles and shorter needles, simulating new growth just like in nature. My stems are sturdy to hold your favorite decorations, my lights are bright, and my branches are bountiful. Check out the Up Close and Zoom it! photos above to see more of me! (Just don't tell any other trees my secrets to looking so sweet - this is how I got my job in that department store in the first place!)
Treetopia™ Goes Green
Here at the North Pole, we care a lot about being green. Sometimes, our customers ask why they should buy a traditional green tree from such a funky and colorful retailer. Well, the truth is that here in our workshop we have always made fabulous green trees. We continue to put the same love and care that goes into each of our colorful and funky trees into our traditional ones too. It’s just that we’ve become a little famous (OK, well, a lot famous!) for our more funky offerings.
Think of us like Ben & Jerry’s – we're best known for our funky flavors, but our plain ol’ vanilla and chocolate are still the best around!
